WoW Legion. It's Nothing But RNG SHIT and SHIT GRINDING. Save your money.

Wow.  I had to try this expansion and well...

Blizzard hates fun and so do you if you think World of Warcraft is fun.

WoW is definately the MMORPG that ruined the whole entire genre.

People still play that fucking game. That's the most surprising thing.

It's funny, I wanted to see what all the hype was about. People kept saying that Legion was "better". Legion is a step in "the right direction". Blah, blah, blah.

A bunch of bullshit but these are the same people that still think Blizzard has millions of subscribers because their lives LITERALLY depend on the survival of World of Warcraft.

Well, that's what happens when you don't do shit but play video games kids!

WoW Legion is not fun. At all.

It's not. It's a piece of shit game you're only playing because you invested your entire life around it. The only ones coming out winning with WoW is Blizzard and people that make shitty podcast sucking Blizzards dick.

Legion is a good example of how Blizzard staff don't know shit about their own community, they don't know shit about fun and just overall have the stupidest fucking ideas. Hell, most of their good ideas are just STOLEN from other games anyways so that's a no-brainer.

So uhhhhh...where was I? Oh yeah!

This game is fucking shit. I mean they fucking GUTTED, and I mean GUTTED all of the classes and called it 'Class Fantasy'. They changed the RNG system to where it's literally like the fucking LOTTERY to get items, just so they can keep you paying longer ( Because your character will almost never be complete), made everything, even professions and basic shit, into a grind. Everything in that game is a grind. They even added fucking TIME-GATES.

They added a stupid...and I mean stupid Artifact system that is SO APPARENT they won't carry it on into the new expansion it makes you wonder why the fuck they even added it.

Legion is nothing more than an ATTEMPT to keep you artificially hooked by controlling your progress every single inch of the way.

I don't feel sorry for people that play this shit anymore.

They sit on the forums and bitch and complain about Blizzard listening to them but if they haven't figure in the last 6 years that Blizzard only gives a fuck about money then they deserved to get ass-rammed by Sylvanas with an orc strap-on.

Fuck.

*Sips some rum*

Ultimate Deluxe Super Mega Game Edition!

2016, almost 2017, and it's to the point where I can't feel sorry for consumers anymore when it comes to video games and the purchases of said games.

So, I was thinking about buying some games tonight. I don't know, I usually don't play half the games I buy more than a few hours once I find out it's just more fake-Hollywood, linear bullshit but sometimes the stories can be good.

After seeing Rogue One, I became slightly interested in Star Wars again. I saw an ad for a Rogue One addition to Star Wars Battlefront and thought I might purchase it. I'm not much of an FPS person but they can be fun every now and then.

So upon my search,  I was scrolling through EA Origins and noticed this:

Yes that's right.

Three different editions for the game: "Standard", "Deluxe", and "Ultimate".

Each version has more than it's predecessor. I laughed about it at first and said to my girlfriend, "What's next? Super Ultimate Deluxe Edition?"

Hahaha. HAHAHAHAHAHAHA.

Wait. Wait. You know what? Maybe I'll check out that new Mass Effect game I...

So as it turns out: I wasn't that far off with my jest.

The jest of course being of how ridiculous and anti-consumerist these publishers could be.

I don't put any type of money grubbing scheme past these publishers now.

I am more amazed by the amount of people that continuously support these publishers though.

We are now at the point where there is DLC on release. DLC literally being nothing more than content which was ripped from the final product, chopped up into pieces and sold in parts later. Of course, the developers and publishers like to deny this but they are in fact lying to you.

We have "Season Passes" as well. Probably the worst of all the scumbag tactics these publishers have come up with. They literally sell you DLC garbage so that you don't pay for future DLC garbage they will release. Oh, but you don't know how much of the DLC garbage you will actually get because most, or all, season passes don't include ALL OF THE DLC GARBAGE. SURPRISE!

You know what I do now though? I skip any game that has DLC, more than one edition excluding GotY, and any other cheap money grubbing tactics.

Most of these game are short and not even worth the price they are asking for. They want us to pay more for these games based on the "quality" but they surely don't reduce the prices to that merit.

WoW Legion: Nail In Coffin For WoW Community Gone Full Retard

World of Warcraft gets worse every expansion.

You know what's clear?

Blizzard staff is filled with 50 year asshole nerds that think they are better than their community and are CLEARLY out of touch with what "fun" is and void of just any type of coherent course for World of Warcraft.  And they don't give a fuck. As long as you buy their shitty services that go against almost everything a MMO is supposed to be.

At this point, Blizzard is just doing whatever the fuck they want. They released garbage like WoD which showed their COMPLETE lack of morals and
Years after years we have seen the same shit from Blizzard:

"NERF, BUFF, NERF, BUFF!"
"Hey! Lots of players enjoy these features. Let's change it because they are having fun."
"Let's fucking dumb this game down more because it wasn't easy enough."

I mean, there is a paladin talent that LITERALLY automatically activates Divine Shield for you now.

They pretty much stripped WoW of anything that requires a brain because they think you are all too stupid to figure it out.

Which is partially true.

The WoW community is worse than ever. It seems like the more they dumb down the game, the more the community acts like spoiled children that kick and scream when they don't get what they want.

You go to Reddit WoW and it's literally a bunch of players that think they are "above" the WoW general forums when they are just as bad as general. I guess the difference is that there is more negativity on the WoW forums and more dick sucking on WoW reddit.

Then there are people like this idiot:

Now. You notice how he seemed like he was complaining about the fact they added absurd prices to the game but then basically went, "Yeah I'M GOING TO BUY THIS SHIT!" and switched to a supportive stance. Fuck this guy.

Which brings up another community point. Blizzard is obviously at the point where they realize most of us are going to complain but still subscribe because we probably have no other games to play.

(Also funny that many of these "Elite WoW players", were complete shit in Vanilla but became "pro" when Blizzard dumbed the game down.)

Hell, I re-subbed to this shit to because my friend kept telling me to come back. I first started off having fun in WoD then soon found that you sit in your FUCKING GARRISON the whole expansion. They only had 2 FUCKING PATCHES and ADDED MORE GARRISON SHIT.

And what's the community excuse to defend this garbage developer?

"WOW still duh best mmo on dah marketz!"
"IT GONNA GET BETTA IN LEGION I SWEARZ!"

Blizzard doesn't give a fuck and they have not a shred of integrity or decency left. They are just in it to milk their players now. I ASSURE you that Subs are going to tank left and right about a month or two into Legion. Blizzard won't report it but you will notice it through their release of more MARKET shit and services as they try to keep the cash flowing in.

Hell. Blizzard is such a shit developer now I would fully expect them to SHUT WOW DOWN if they see it's popularity decline to the point that is obvious.

Their whole goal now is money and making the game "fair" because there are too many little bitches playing it that want everything without any effort. No longer a real community.

Blizzard completely destroyed World of Warcraft. Legion will be the end of it. That I assure you.

And don't expect any of these assholes Youtubers and Streamers that are promoted and make their money off of WoW to be honest.

I mean...go play Classic WoW and then this new pre-patch Legion WOW. GO. DO IT.

God I hope Star Citizen comes soon.

Q1 2015. Blizzard Loses 2.9 Million Subscribers. 7 Million Idiots Still Giving Blizzard Money.

For those of you that play WoW, don't care what Blizzard does or what direction the game goes in; this is not for you. Continue enjoying your game! Take your hippy Blizzard love somewhere else.

Those of you that continue to give Blizzard money even though you know that they are continuously fucking you over, post on the forums for years about how Blizzard has "lost their way" and don't give a shit about WoW as a game; come right in.

Let's start with the basics.

Blizzard lost the most subscribers they have ever lost in a three month period because WoD is the piece of shit it OBVIOUSLY was from the start:

This is what Blizzard said upon releasing their report to investors:

Blizzard Entertainment had the largest Q1 online player community in its history, up a double digit percentage year over year despite no major launches in the quarter. As expected and consistent with our experience following prior expansions, we saw a decline in the World of Warcraft subscriber number. Subscribers ended the quarter at 7.1 million. World of Warcraft’s revenue performance at constant FX has been more stable, driven by continued strong uptake on value added services, and price increases in select regions, which partially offset subscriber declines, particularly in the East. World of Warcraft remains the No. 1 subscription-based MMORPG in the world.

You know what the text highlighted in red means despite them trying to cover it up with bullshit language (I mean seriously, "strong uptake on value added services?")?

It means that they don't give a shit about subscribers as long as they have enough players that will give them money for shit like character transfers, WoW tokens, pets, level 90 boost and all the other you players claim isn't "pay to win" (and WoW is P2W now no matter how hard you assholes try to morph the definition of it).

They don't give a shit about making a good game. They do however care about new ways they can stay longer (releasing expansions constantly for example) and making you pay for pay-wall content.

I mean Blizzard said in plain FUCKING ENGLISH :

"SERVICES OFFSET SUBSCRIBER DECLINES"

That means, stop bitching if you are still PAYING TO PLAY WoW. You aren't helping by giving them money and praying that Blizzard sees the error of their ways.

You have morons now saying that Blizzard needs to release another expansion to FIX the expansion they they currently don't give a shit about....hahaha....

You people are stupid as fuck....ahhhh...

Not if you enjoy the game though!

Something grammar fix later yada yada.

WoW PvP = Skillless,Heal/Gear-Based CC Abusing Grindfest! PT. 1

"The year is 2014 and Blizzard development team is still no closer to finding the right cure for PvP. Despite claiming that "balance is an art" (http://us.battle.net/wow/en/blog/2956383), it seems that the longer the development team goes down this tight rope known as "PvP" they make less progress across every time. In fact, everything just seems to get worse."

Let's get into it shall we...

Boy.

I remember playing SWTOR and doing PvP. I said to myself, "Why did I leave WoW for this game? The PvP here is terrible! All these stun and heals! All these classes that have huge advantages in matches! This game sucks! I'm going back to WoW!" Little did I know...

Blizzard had changed WoW to the exact same thing.

Now, I may be a bit jaded because the good times to me for WoW PvP (Vanilla) were when gear wasn't the major factor in winning for most classes (cough cough rogues) and how you played was usually much more effective than anything you wore. Even if you were still killed by someone with better gear, putting up a good fight made you feel much better about yourself as a player.

Hell, I remember killing a warrior that was 10 levels higher than me just by outplaying him!

Alas, Blizzard development team ruined "World PvP" by trying to capitalize on it's popularity and turning it into a terrible instanced GRINDFEST. Blizzard went even further by adding numerous high level guards to towns to discourage town raiding and finally they killed it off completely their LFG queue system. Now Blizzard development assumes they can fix World PvP but from this video it's pretty obvious they have NO IDEA what "World PvP" even means:

According to them, World PvP = Sitting on a random secluded island such as Timeless Isle. While it was fun for about a week, that isn't "World PvP". This is just a clear case of Blizzard development pretending they understand the problem and yet still trying to control it.

Now, all of this would be fine if they hadn't done this to PVP SERVERS but I assume they don't have the technology or will to make an effort to implement the changes on specific servers only.

Those were the days though.

But these days it's pretty damn obvious Blizzard has no idea what they are doing...ESPECIALLY when it comes to PvP. The state of PvP in WoW is not only completely absurd but stressful for anyone just trying to CASUALLY PvP. Let's look at low-level PvP for example.

Thanks to the heirloom system (I actually like the heirloom system though) players who have the H-Gear will probably kill a player without the gear in a matter of two shots or in an extremely fast manner. There will be no time to react to anything. All you can hope to do is be the first one to fire off a skill before you are gunned down by some hunter or stabbed in your spine by some rogue. If you are lucky, you might even see the attack coming via instant kill shield slamming warrior.

If you aren't playing one of classes I just mentioned by the way, you are probably sitting in the graveyard reading this or watching this scripted drama crap:

 Spoiler Alert:
  • These bikes are already finished.
  • Blizzard is going to use it as a marketing gimmick for WoD.
  • Both factions are most likely going to both get bikes.
  • Is everyone working at Blizzard almost 50? That explains the state of the game I assume.

The Elder Scrolls Online (TESO) Is Going To Be A Piece Of Shit. And You Know It.

Oh here we go again.

Another big named IP MMO being pumped out to collect a month worth the subscription fees before everyone quits because they figured out the game was worthless, uninspired GARBAGE.

I mean...WHEN. WILL. PEOPLE. LEARN.

I Sure Hope This Is The Console Version

First warning should have been that Zenimax is making the game, you know, the parent company and not Bethesda? The the major warning should be that the game is under a heavy NDA just like SWTOR. Also, the fact that this game was announced to be for consoles also...I don't care what anyone says...if you have been playing MMOs as long as I have been then you should know there is NO WAY IN HELL a MMO is going to be good if it's on a console. Just due to the fact that a MMORPG should be about THE WORLD you are in first. And I'm not talking linear "follow this straight path to all your quest" worlds.

So anyways back to what I was saying...

This game has BARELY released any information other than cherry picked content, prevents everyone from streaming or showing any videos of the game, does FAKE Reddit "AMAs" called "AUA"(...like AUAHAHAHAH) and is releasing this shit in April.

Have you seen the trailer video for this shit?

I mean, this reminds me of Rift/Warhammer instantly. Look at the stiff animations. Are the only spells in this game fire and electricity based? What the fuck is going on. I've seen more motion in rocks I threw across the street (and accidentally broke my neighbors window :( ).

This game seems to be copying the SWTOR gameplan to a T. I mean ALL the character bodies and animations are EXACTLY the same. For ALL RACES. This is just like SWTOR.

Heavy NDA without releasing much of any real information. Just like SWTOR.

Using a popular IP from a single-player game. Just like SWTOR.

Cherry picking questions to answer. Just like SWTOR.

Instanced, watered-down. map-pack MMO. Just like SWTOR.

Yup It's FUCKING SWTOR II: The Journey To Free to Play (and eventually shutdown)

I'm starting to think that these MMOs are just hoping to get as much money as they can during the first month then when shit goes down hill, start firing all the staff and blaming the people who had nothing to do with the games failure before the top bosses leave the company with their fat checks.

Also...

That lizard looks completely ridiculous on that horse.

 Laugh out loud.

Please. Stop Asking People To Watch Your Shitty Twitch Streams.

Let's talk about the retarded elephant in the room.

Everytime I go to a game blog or log into a MMO.

There is always someone going "HEY! WATCH MY STREAM HERE!"

Take your head set off.

Listen.

The only time people want to watch videos of you playing is if you have useful information on a game because the game is either in beta , you are giving your opinion or commentary about what you think of the game (such as Totalbiscuit, AngryJoe etc) or you have The Walking Dead which is more of a movie than a video game.

I really see no point in watching SOMEONE ELSE play a game that is available to everyone unless you just can't afford it. And if you do get people to watch it, why would someone come back when you have nothing to offer. Think I want to watch a 48 hour stream of you sitting in town afk?

No?

Then cut the shit out.

If you aren't doing anything unique or spectacular in the game that every single person on the planet can't do or hasn't done...stop.

EA To Destroy Star Wars IP By Making Games Like SWTOR For Another 10 Years.

So...EA's chief financial officer "Blake Jorgensen" just said this on Eurogamer:

"Yes the original expectations obviously were very, very large and obviously the multiplayer MMO world has - the popularly has come down over time and we tried to restructure the Star Wars business to better match the economics. It's a great business that's very repeatable," he added. "We brought the economics in line so it's a profitable business for us."

Notice a pattern? BUSINESS! BUSINESS! PROFIT!

Dear Jedi Jesus: Please Make Disney See The Light And Stop EA From Making More Star Wars Games.

No.

Don't "RESTRUCTURE THE BUSINESS". This is the EXACT problem. Look at how he talks about the VIDEO GAME. They aren't worried about players having fun or enjoying the game. They are worried about how much money they can make every quarter.

RESTRUCTURE THE WHOLE GOD FORSAKEN GAME!

Make REAL games that aren't meant to MILK the IP!

Put REAL effort into listening to your community!

Only people that currently play SWTOR are the people they thought would be the majority, the people who are die hard Star Wars fan. They are the only ones who don't care or don't notice just how bad the game is because they don't know any better or anything else.

I am seriously tired of EA and their sh--!

Shit.

Wildstar Will Probably Fail and Go F2P. Sadly.

Getting kind of tired of this same MMO pattern. It's like these developers never learn or it could just be that...oh I don't know MMOs have just become a "Get Rich Quick" scheme...of sorts. So I am going to keep it short and to the point. Actually, I will post this way from now on.

I've been following "Wildstar" for quite some time and though the overly cartoon style ALMOST threw me off completely, I managed to continue checking up on the game from time to time.

Don't get me wrong, I like the Wildstar development team and I really wish they never made this mistake. Especially since they will in essence be going against an IP like The Elder Scrolls.

So now, here we are further into the development of Wildstar and we have talks of release dates, classes, pricing models and etc. etc. That's all great. Wildstar seems to be the game that has everything and is for players who have been waiting for a good MMO were developers "care" about their players. Everything about this game seems to be perfect right?!

Wrong.

Wrong because Wildstar is an IP jumping into a market where word of mouth will make or break your game into a thousand pieces and it's a shame that developers of MMOs still haven't learned this simple fact:

When it comes to a RPG of any sort, LORE is king over all.  For example, The Elder Scrolls Online might be complete garbage game-play wise but that won't matter at the start. People know TES. And even if they hate MMOs or never played one, people will play for the IP alone.

Lore...lore...lore...does no one care about lore anymore? Or does everyone just love their MMO fastfood?

I Barely Know Anything About The Elder Scrolls Lore... But It's More Than I Know About Wildstar's!
And no, I don't mean the lore INSIDE your MMO that most players are going to be skipping anyways, I am talking about the lore that is established long before you even created that MMO. Lore people are familiar with or can get familiar with outside of the MMO. This is why, in my opinion, any MMO developed should be based off some sort of existing franchise. Whether it's a book, comic, movie or game doesn't really matter but it SHOULD have established some sort of lore people can reference. People just feel more connected to things they know and feel they understand. It doesn't matter if everyone knows the lore because your core fan base will be there to rant on and explain it via forums, role playing servers and video blogs.

This disturbs me because I am currently writing my own fantasy novel and hope to create some sort of game based around it in the future

Right. Point.

Who Needs Lore When You Have Stereotypical English Accented Villains!

Now if this game was fully voiced such as SWTOR (which is a terrible game) that could help sell your lore but so far what I have seen from this game is the same reading, boring objective missions and "AIN'T NO BODY GOT TIME FOR THAT!" mob grinding.

Your random MMO and IP that popped out of no where probably will never be a top MMO or retain even 50% of it's user base due to the fact no one has really "grown" with your IP. No one knows anything about the story, characters, world....ANYTHING. Nor will most players care to learn once they get past the first once and something new and shiny they ARE familiar with comes out.

Then again, using SWTOR as an example again, you could have all the lore and money in the world and still managed to develop one of the worst MMOs created. How is that possible?

It's called putting money first and player satisfaction last.

In Guild Wars 2...You Buy Leadership... but Grind For Armor...

Yes.

Though it appears to be nothing more than a nice blue icon on the map....

....Anyone with 100 gold can become a "Commander".

A Commander which is supposed to lead their world to victory but usually just lead their group to jumping puzzles.

100 gold is not that easy to come by unless you have been working the trade market or saving every gold you earned. Yet still, I can't help but wonder about the failed logic behind allowing something which SHOULD have come from experience to be bought.

If anyone can buy Commander...how the hell am I supposed to know who actually knows what they are doing if I am new?

Instead of pratically GIVING leadership titles away, there really should have been some type of requirement set in place. To be a commander, you should have to prove yourself or...SOMETHING.

Not just be another one of Guild Wars 2 MANY "money sinks".

But to top this off... you have the end armor in WvW which cost over 1000 "Badges of Honor" for the whole set.

You get the BoHs off bags from killing players or NPCS in WvW.

Most times there is no BoHs in the bags....so hmmm...

Which makes more sense...?

Letting any random player who could have just went into WvW his first day and bought the Commander book...?

...Or buying the book with 1000s badges that at least show you are some what a veteran in WvW?

But don't worry...this is just one of the many backwards and illogical features in Guild Wars 2.

I'll get to the trade market soon enough...

Guild Wars 2: Die. Die. Repair. Die. Die.

I am not going to sugar coat anything for raging fanboys...by saying "I enjoy GW2" and "I like the game" to ease you into it. If you don't like to hear negative things about your "favorite game" then please...MOVE ALONG!

Anyways!

So...

There is dying in MMOS... and then there is Guild Wars 2.

I've played many (not all, obviously, but it's my genre) MMOs and really I have never been killed as much as I have been in this GW2. I know what you are thinking..."Hmm...perhaps you aren't using your skills properly?"...because really, I had hoped it was just a skill issue. But it's not...it's the way the game was set up. Some call it a challenge, I call it a terrible design of death mechanics.

For a game that prided itself on being able to play how I want...it sure is obvious that it does not work. Especially if you aren't a class wearing heavy armor. I can't help but feel Arena.net (Arenanet? Anet? Whatever!) designed the game like this purposely.

And by "purposely" I mean purposely so you are forced to waste your money...well...look...The cashshop...uhhh....uh...

I think this picture speaks for itself.

Dying and repairing in Guild Wars 2 is like...it's own little mini game.

So much of a mini game... there is actual achievements for not dying.

This wouldn't be so bad if the many of the mobs weren't LITERALLY hitting you twice and either killing you or nearly killing you (most apply to classes that wear lighter than heavy (I think))...echo...

Take for example the dungeons. I mean...there is literally very little...scratch that...  no strategy whatever in dungeons. It's basically a bunch of high HP slash High DPS mobs that randomly focus fire on someone.I mean...it's a mess...Your "evade/dodge" skill rarely is useful. Soon as you use it, you get hit by some other random AOE attacks...

Let's not even get started on the super high aggro mobs outside  dungeons...

Just Thinking: Michael O'Brien and Guild Wars 2 Team.

Now that the MMO world has become a world of "Get Rich Quick" schemes, seldomly do you have developers or team members that really seem to care. And by "care" I mean, actually take time to address player problems and issues in a timely manner.

But not in the case of the Guild Wars 2 team. You don't need to question if they feel their fans are important. They show it constantly by their sheer number of responses, blog additions and time they take out for interviews.  And not just when it's something negative printed about them or their game.

Sure, the FaceBook thing was kind of...strange, but I understand the reasoning for that. They want more fans. Who doesn't? Compared to *Other Game I Will Not Name!* Guild Wars 2 has more information about videos about it by a very long shot.

All together though, the Guild Wars 2 team seems more like a family rather than a team. And I kind of admire that. I feel that is how your work place SHOULD feel. I know all MMOs are about "wars" but tou don't get the best efforts out of people running your business like actual an warzone.

And I should know.

I worked at retail stores.

SWTOR Subscriptions Down 25%...

...but of course there is a reason.

And according to the diehard fans, it's either never Biowares' fault or it doesn't mean there is anything wrong. Everything is perfect in the land(s) of SWTOR...even if your server has 1 person on it.

Funny. I know.

http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=447469

Today's earning call provided facts that allowed us to finally understand that the dead servers we were playing on weren't just part of our "hater" imagination.

So now, the defense comes up.

On the forum, you have people who once said "SWTOR would surpass 2 million subscribers " saying , "I told you haters this game wasn't dying!"

http://www.marketwatch.com/story/ea-sales-beat-targets-star-wars-takes-hit-2012-05-07?siteid=yhoof2

Yes, it makes perfect sense!

Because losing a quater of your playerbase means the game is still growing!

Sometimes, I really believe it's the fanboys that helped destroy SWTOR.

Sadly, it's probably the "haters" like me, that are big MMO fans, who saw this coming long ago. Instead of listening to us, Bioware tried to do the bidding of the people who have no idea what makes a good MMO.

Hello everyone, as stated on the launch schedule Tera Online will start tomorrow on Saturday the 28th at 8:00 am pacific time. When tomorrow does come I plan to fill up my character slots and level the characters using rested experience, its easy to level them that way and they get leveled at the same time. Just Thinking : Turn-Based Combat Does Not Belong In Any Star Wars MMO

Now, I am by no means a "Star Wars geek" or knowledgable about much of the lore besides the first three movies, KOTOR and Jedi Knight series but...

I've been thinking after watching the Star Wars movies (the first originals) on how a perfect Star Wars MMO would be. You know? The type of gameplay, mechanics and features it would have.

I felt the best way to achieve a good Star Wars MMO is to follow the period AFTER the originals. Either right after the end of Return of the Jedi or around the time period of the Jedi Knight : Academy game series.

Even though I have been playing MMOs for years, it took me a while to understand what people meant by "turn-based" combat. And now that I understand what "turn-based" combat means, I can see why turn-based combat doesn't feel right in some games.

I want to jump right into it though. I think alot of the issues with MMOs is the "turn-based combat" in them. It seems very out of place, especially Star Wars MMO.

I think that combat in a Star Wars MMO should not be similiar to other MMOs. It should not have the type of combat where you hit someone with a lightsaber and it doesn't inflict tons of damage. It should be more about BLOCKING / DEFENSE.

Therefore, I think the animations and gameplay should be based around defending yourself.  Where you block until one of you gets lucky enough get a hit on the other.

And as much as I would like FPS style combat, that is usually the first type of combat to become exploited with aimbots and other hacks so...an auto-target system will suffice.

I also think that crowd control skills have gone too far MMOs and if you play SWTOR you will see what I am talking about.

OT: Diablo III Beta Error 3003... EU Rages Even Though It's Free

Error 3003
Apparently, tons of people (mainly Europeans) have flooded the forums with comments such as "failed beta weekend" and other classics such as "blizz wake up EU test is an abortion".

This is due to Error 3003 which PROBABLY has something to do with the amount of people connecting to Diablo 3 servers because...well...it's free.

So let's just forget that it's free and that the players complaining about the service of something free are being ungrateful...

Thinking about Error 3003 or connection issues on Diablo 3 free beta weekend?

All These Post And More Were Deleted In About 1 Second.
Well, don't bother posting it on the technical forum on the Diablo 3 website because it won't make it past two comments.

No, Blizzard is having none of that SWTOR forum troll nonsense in their house.

PvP in SWTOR 1.2 is Complete Crap...Unless You're Empire....

...but just so happens that 80% of  SWTOR's population play Empire.

So...I took this free "7 days come-back" special from Bioware for people who quit. They wanted us to come back to try the hyped up 1.2 legacy patch and give the game another chance. I decided to try it again because, well, Guild Wars 2 isn't out yet and maybe I judged SWTOR too early but...

...all it's doing so far is making me hate this game even more. There are many things I want to touch on but the major most noticeable thing is the PvP handsdown.

It's almost exactly 50% worse than it was before and worse than any game you've probably PvP'd in.

Yes, even Champions Online and Rift.

Just Joined A Game. Republic Losing and Only Had 5 Players Vs. 8. This Happens 90% of the Day.

Not to mention Bioware buffing/ changing classes in very rushed and sloppy way. And it's not me. I love PvP and found SWTOR pvp amusing and fun before 1.2. Now it's complete trash.

It's hard to describe how the PvP is worse because it was never really that good to begin with, but I'll give you an example:

If You Play Republic, This Is What Your Score Will Typcially Look Like. Note
If You Have Less Than 3 Medals, You Will Get No Reward.

Before 1.2, you would get a certain amount of rewards if you lose. It wasn't as much as the winner but it was better than nothing.

Now, they changed things to the point that you can get NOTHING AT ALL for doing PvP matches. Literally, nothing. It's now based on medals. If you get very few or none, it's almost if you didn't even play a match.

And this will happen ALOT if you are playing on the Republic. I was just in a match, fighting the SAME pre-made Empire guild over and over. They would stomp us into the ground. This has alot to do with the "PvP" stats in game as well (which I find makes PvP worse in itself) but still let's say that wasn't even a factor.

The fact that you get NOTHING is stupid all together.

It's even more stupid because Bioware KNOWS 100% well that Republic is outnumbered or dead on almost every server. Not only that, on the server I am on, we barely, if ever, have a full team. So it's always 5 +/- Republic going against a full 8 man team of Empire.

I also say Bioware knows this because they are slowly leaning torwards making all the Warzones non -faction based. Which pretty much means Empire will be fighting Empire and Republic will fight Empire. See what I did there?

The sad part is, there are players ACTUALLY trying to play the PvP still. That part I DO NOT understand. For some of these players common sense will just never kick in. The PvP is imbalanced and not fun. Period.

But you know what? Instead of making some long post about this horrible broken PvP sytem, I'll leave you with some threads on the official forum where people are obviously not happy with this change to PvP:

http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=412826
http://www.swtor.com/community/forumdisplay.php?f=76

In fact, the only ones that seem to be happy are the Empire. I wonder why?

With that said, if people want my advise on if they should buy this game...

...then the answer IS NO.

I can deal with MMO developers making mistakes but Bioware just does not listen. They do not test their content properly. They have no clue how to run a MMO or what a MMO needs.

Do not waste your money and time on SWTOR unless it goes free to play or you just want to do PvE single player type things.

Just Thinking: MMO Developers Should Not Expect High Subscriptions...

...because they will end up disappointed like most.

I never really understood the big hype and obsession with developers wanting high subscription numbers post-WoW. I thought the fact that MMORPGs were brought into the mainstream( due to WoWs success) was good enough. It was for me at least.

It's to the point where it's obvious the desire for high subscription numbers has little to do with the "cost" of running the game and more to do with seeing high profits.

Yes, I expect developers to make a profit but it feels as though the "profit" is all these developers think about now. It's no longer about making a fun game that even the developers enjoy. It's about how developers can take a feature they feel WoW lacks, and exploit it to attract players. Or in some MMOs case, an IP.

Anyways...was just thinking.

Bioware Values You...If You Are Level 50 in SWTOR.

Many adult TaunTauns were killed in order to steal their children to be your slave.

Yesterday on April 12th, Bioware announced they would be giving their loyal subscribers that remained subscribed from day one a free TaunTaun pet and 30 free days.

Sounds great!

Bioware is finally giving back to the community it loves to rob so much. And I bet it has nothing to do with players leaving SWTOR in droves and all the negative feed back! Oh,wait a second...aren't you...aren't you one of those, "I didn't rush to 50 players" that still don't have a level 50 after almost 4 months? You are also one of those players that believed Bioware and thought a decent MMORPG consist of rolling alternative characters constantly?

Well then I would like to apologize as this offer does not apply to you.

No, for those of you that are not level 50  but subscribed the same time, you get nothing but the TaunTaun, which if you are lucky won't causes errors to your gameplay. Yes, you players that decided to roll alts because Bioware said it was an important part of the game are not important nor loyal enough to get 30 free days.

On a serious note, if you look at the forum, most of the people who constantly defended everything Bioware did are now up in arms about not being rewarded as well. Go figure.

I'm not saying they shouldn't be rewarded as well. I feel they should get 30 days free as well but it's kind of amusing to see the ones who called anyone who was dissatisfied "whiners", "complainers" and "entitled generation". And now they are complaining.

Amazing isn't it?

Because remember kids! Everything is fine and dandy until it's something that effects you!
